“Seto no Hanayome”

“Seto no Hanayome” is a song categorized as a Japanese popular music. It was released in April 1972 as the fourth single by singer Rumi Koyanagi. It is a song that sings about the feelings and determination of young women who marry from island to island in the Seto Inland Sea. It became a hit after “Watashi no Jokamachi” and won first place on the weekly Oricon chart for the second time.

This song was written by Michio Yamagami and composed by Masaaki Hirao. This song, which evokes the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, has become a local song in this region.
